It's hard to believe that I'm writing this post already and I'm sure you're also thinking (as we tend to do at the end of every single year) where did this year go?! This year, more than any other, I feel like I've crammed so much into it. As well as photographing and filming lots of gorgeous weddings, I also got married and moved house at the start of wedding season. I also photographed two weddings abroad, in Malaga and Italy and collaborated with some amazing people.
However fantastic 2017 was, it hasn't been without its lows - over the summer my beloved grandmother passed away after battling cancer. I'm so glad she got to see my wedding photos and I could see her to talk about the wedding a month before she died. Her bravery (I know she'd hate me for saying that) and the fact she tried to carry on as normal and live the last part of her life on her terms will always be inspiring to me. Here's a photo of her and my grandfather at their wedding in the 60s. What an amazing gift old photographs are!
I'm excited about all the amazing weddings I've got booked in for next year - so many incredible venues and locations, so I'm looking forward to what 2018 has in store. As I did last year, I'm sharing some of my favourite shots of 2017, so settle in for a long one!
