I met Edward and Laura a couple of years ago at Manchester Cathedral as we were all singing in the choir together. When they got engaged I was so happy for them, and even happier when they asked me to photograph their wedding at the cathedral! Over the weekend we shot their engagement photos as their wedding is coming up after the Easter weekend. We'd organised a date a couple of weeks back but the snow ruined our plans.
This is one of my favourite engagement shoots as their gorgeous dog Tetley was part of it! My one demand for 2018 is more dogs at weddings and engagement shoots. It's so much fun to photograph an engagement shoot with a dog - it makes the photos nice and natural and seeing as many venues don't allow dogs at the wedding it ensures you get some nice photos with your furry family member!
We headed to Jubilee Colliery, a really interesting site that's one of the only remaining examples of Oldham's mining heritage. Volunteers have excavated parts of it to explore Oldham's industrial past so if you're interested in archaeology and history it's an amazing place to explore.
