London is the perfect place for an intimate wedding or elopement.
As a wedding photographer, I've photographed lots of elopements in London so I can recommend some beautiful venues for your intimate wedding or elopement. One of my favourite things about small London weddings is that they're so romantic - it feels like something straight from a movie when you have a micro wedding with a few of your friends and family or even just the two of you! I love photographing elopements all through the year - winter weddings, spring, summer, autumn - they're perfect all year round! London is always a beautiful city to get married in no matter the weather or time of year.
Islington Town Hall
Islington Town Hall is a great choice for elopements and smaller weddings. It's easy to get to (it's right by Highbury and Islington station!) and there are so many great food places nearby for your post-wedding meal. The interior of Islington Town Hall is beautiful too - lots of London town halls are stunning but Islington Town Hall's grand hallways have a special place in my heart!
The Old Marylebone Town Hall
No list of London wedding venues that are perfect for elopements would be complete without mentioning The Old Marylebone Town Hall! With its gorgeous interiors, beautiful steps and amazing staff it's the perfect venue for elopements. You'll be in good company getting married here as countless celebrities have graced its ceremony rooms for their weddings!
Chelsea Old Town Hall
Chelsea Old Town Hall is another gorgeous London town hall wedding venue. It's great for weddings of all sizes as it has lots of options for ceremony rooms, but it's my favourite for intimate weddings. With so many great places nearby for your wedding reception, it's a great ceremony venue. It's also a gorgeous building - those iconic doors are amazing for photographs!
Hackney Town Hall
I love Hackney Town Hall for elopements - it's such a beautiful building. I love the iconic Art Deco style interior; it has such a romantic vibe that is just amazing to photograph. It's perfect for large weddings as well as last minute, intimate, super romantic elopements!
Stoke Newington Town Hall
This is a great town hall to get married in - with a pub across the road and gorgeous parks nearby for photographs, it's an amazing option. The stairs inside are beautiful (can you tell I love taking wedding photos on stairs?) and the ceremony room interior is gorgeous also. Stoke Newington Town Hall is one that I'd love to photograph more - the wood panels are beautiful!
