Frequently Asked Questions
How would you describe your approach?
I'm unobtrusive, preferring a reportage style to hundreds of staged, overly posed shots. I prefer candid images - I feel that this style really captures the essence of your day. I'm always looking for gorgeous light and little details. In my photography work, I use digital and lots of different types of film - Polaroid, 120, 35mm and Instax.
How long will you stay at my wedding?
I tend to arrive around two hours before your ceremony to capture getting ready shots and then leave just after the first dance, when the evening dancing is underway.
How long until I get to see my photos/video?
I usually send a preview of your wedding to you via email and post on my social media the day after your wedding. Feel free to tag yourself in these images! After this, you will receive edited shots in about 2-4 weeks on an online gallery. When the photo books, albums and prints have arrived I'll then post you an exciting package. The photo books and albums can take another 4-8 weeks to arrive, but I'll always keep you updated on their progress.
I get your highlight film edited in 4-8 weeks and your final film with speeches sent out to you in 8-12 weeks.
How many photos will I receive?
I make sure you receive a minimum of 350 edited images of your day. This number depends on the length and size of the wedding and time allotted for couples' portraits and group shots.
Do you travel?
Yes, I love to travel! I regularly travel all over the UK and abroad to cover weddings. Travel within the UK is covered in my package, but if you want me to travel further afield here are my costs:
Rest of the world: £200
How long are your videos?
I provide short form wedding videos, meaning I'll be there to cover all the important parts of your day, but this footage will be edited into a shorter cinematic film, usually around 5-10 minutes in length. You'll also receive a longer film that includes your speeches and vows. To see examples, please have a look at my video work.
Do you work with a second shooter?
When you book me for a combined photography and videography package, I do work with a second shooter and this is included in your package. If you'd like to add a second shooter to any other package, the cost is £200 extra. I reccomend adding a second shooter if you'd like both sides of the preparations captured as it can be tricky to get to both of you on the morning unless you're both getting ready at the same venue.
How do I book you?
Drop me a line letting me know the date of your wedding and location. If I'm available on your date (yay!) I take a £300 deposit to secure the booking. I then ask that you fill in a form and agree to some terms, just to confirm everything (it's all paperless so we're saving trees!) then you're done. I'll be at your wedding! If you'd like to meet up for coffee to have a chat, I know the best coffee places.
Do you provide engagement shoots?
Yes! I recommend engagement shoots as they get you and your partner comfortable in front of the camera and with the way I work. We can grab a coffee, head to a location you both love and snap some natural photos! I charge £150 for an hour's engagement shoot and if you've booked a wedding package with me this is free. Take a look at some of my engagement photography here.
Do you provide film photography?
Yes! And it's my dream to shoot a wedding entirely on film (Polaroid, 35mm, 120, Instax) so if that sounds like your dream too, just drop me an email! My portfolio is a mix of different types of film as well as digital.
Can you make an album?
As part of my photography package, a beautifully designed photo book comes as standard. I do also provide beautiful fine art albums on heavy art paper. Prices for these start at £250.
Can I order prints from you?
Of course! If you'd rather print your own photos you can as you'll receive high resolution photos without any watermarks on USB as part of the package.
Are you insured?
Yes, I have public liability and professional indemnity. If I'm bringing a second shooter to your wedding, they're also covered by my insurance. So no need to worry!
